Let’s mix things up today!
I love walking – it’s the best way to stay in shape – and I’m blessed to live somewhere that offers plenty of beautiful places to ambulate.
Here’s a “photo essay” of one of my favorite trails. It’s called the Little Tennessee River Greenway – or simply the Greenway to us “locals.”
Once a power company right of way, through strong community support and activism, it was turned into a five mile long multi-use path and parkway meandering along the Little Tennessee River. It’s estimated that 20,000 people use the Greenway each month.
Here are some highlights. You can see why it’s so popular.

Want to go for a walk now? I do! I’m sure there’s a public green space, park, rails to trails pathway or something close to you. Many communities, both large and small, have them.
What about where you live? Got a favorite walking path? I’d love to see photos. You can send them to moss (at) commonsensehealth (dot) com or post them to the Common Sense Health Facebook page.
