My life is full. And I like it this way. I’m sure it’ll come as no surprise that nutrition, fitness and health aren’t my only passions. Sure, they are strong threads that run through everything else I do, but life has so much to offer. Don’t you think?
One of my greatest pleasures is my family. I spend a lot of time with my kids and grandkids and I enjoy every minute of it.
I’m impressed with my kids, but speaking purely as an impartial grandmother, I find my grandkids to be funny, charming, smart, talented and eager for life. I’ve been told these qualities often skip a generation (lol).
But “family” – to me – is much more than blood relatives. I consider many of my closest friends to be part of my family. After all, who said you couldn’t pick your own relatives? (The Law of Relativity states a friend is a relative term anyway!)
I’m of the opinion you should never feel like you’re stuck with what you have. I say surround yourself with supportive people, especially if they make you feel good about yourself and call them family.
For me, it’s people like my beekeeping friends, gardening friends, clients and associates who share similar interests with me. I actually interact more with some of these people than I do with some of my blood relatives. And I’m sure that’s true for most of us.
I love my life! I wouldn’t trade it for anyone else’s. I’ve hit a few bumps and potholes along the way – who hasn’t, but I like where I am now. I love the people in my life and I have a lot to celebrate. And, before I forget, thank you for being part of my family.
