If you build muscle, your metabolism increases and the more muscle you build, the more fat you will burn. In order to lose fat, you are going to have to make adjustments to your diet if you are having struggles with your weight. For instance, you may have to sacrifice all the meals at your favorite fast food if they are luxury fried and fatty foods. You may instead want to try out some of their healthier items on the menu. A lot of fast foods carry stuff like salads.

You may as well forget about starvation and other acts of deprivation. Also mandatory is some physical activity which will help you burn more calories. Building muscle is somewhat the same. It is mostly what you eat. Eat more protein and other nutrients that will help with the muscle building.

The types of exercise you would like to do are a lot of weight training and or explosive types of exercises like sprinting. You may also want to push yourself a little hard, but not too hard because you may do more harm than good.
